There will be options for customization through Hero Cards. As you level up, you will be forced to choose from three cards, each with its own special ability.
A card might give you more damage, heath or allow the player to equip items higher than the characters current level.

Four of the people featured on the cards directly appear in the games. Sandy is a major character in both, Eubrick appears in the first game, and both Steve and Tannko are playable allies for the second player in the second game (although Tannko must be downloaded in order to play as him).
